1- Floating system is the installation of wood floors using a foam or a triplex that is placed under the wooden slats. Installation of this system made specifically for wood floors that have been at finishing in the plant by means of UV (Ultraviolet).
The main drawback of this system is the durability of wood floors that are not optimal because the overall strength of the floor is determined by the strength of foam or a triplex, is no longer determined by the strength of hardwood flooring materials. Strength of wood Merbau, Kempas or teak that can last tens of years will be useless if the underlying foam or triplex damaged in less than 4 years.
2- Gluedown System is a system specifically for the installation of wood flooring slats of wood that has not been finishing in the factory where the pieces of wood at the glue directly on the ACI without the mediation of foam or a triplex. This system is more complicated because it involves a lot of equipment for alignment (sanding) and finishing in place, and needed an experienced operator.
Advantages of this system is the maximum strength and wood floors that seem more luxurious appearance. The weakness of this system is the installation requires a longer time (about 3 weeks).
