NBA Using Wood Floor For The Field

One of the most famous parquet floor is used by the Boston Celtics in the NBA. The original wood floor, installed in the original home of Boston Celtics Arena in 1946, moved intact to Boston Garden in 1952 and used there until the team moved into the FleetCenter in 1995, now known as the TD Garden. Wood flooring is intact and is used to cut and sold as souvenirs in 1999, after the 1998 demolition of Boston Garden. Today the Celtics play on the parquet floor at the TD Garden that combines old parts and new. Parquet floors are designed and manufactured similar to the Orlando Magic, Minnesota Timberwolves, Denver Nuggets and New Jersey Nets. Magic of only four teams still use parquet flooring (which transferred to the Center of Amway Amway Arena), the Nets were the first of the team to switch to plain concrete field (although the old parquet floor they continue to be used for college basketball game), by removing the Nuggets parquet floor after the McNichols Sports Arena them torn down and new flooring installed Timberwolves at Target Center for the 2008-2009 season.
